About 70 percent of Japan’s railway network is owned and operated by the Japan Railways (JR), while the remaining 30 percent belongs to dozens of other private railway companies, especially in and around metropolitan areas.
The Japan Railways Group, more commonly known as JR Group (JRグループ), is made up of six regional passenger railway companies, which are JR Hokkaido, JR East, JR Central, JR West, JR Shikoku, and JR Kyushu, and one nationwide freight railway company, JR Freight. Las Vegas Review’s Best Singer of 2008!
In response to rave reviews, Lani Misalucha’s special engagement at the Magic of Polynesia Showroom has been extended and is now a glittering fixture in Waikiki’s entertainment scene.
The Lani Misalucha Show is a fast-paced and inviting selection of her signature songs mixing both glitz and glamour in a unique and colorful Las Vegas style one-woman concert. Her five-octave range is showcased in her global anthology of hit tunes from Andrea Bocelli to Whitney Houston. Her natural comedic gift for dead on impersonations of Tina Turner and Celine Dion bring a wave of humor mixed with pop culture. Top quality lights and sound illuminate her ability to sing everything from arias to Broadway to rock and roll standards.
Misalucha’s career began at the age of 17. In 2004, Lani became the first Asian female performer to headline Las Vegas. She has been called “Siren of the Strip” by Show Biz Magazine on their cover and “The New Diva of Las Vegas” by What’s On Magazine. Her ability to sing/perform in all of these different styles has made her one of the most popular vocalists in Asia (dubbed as Asia’s Nightingale by MTV Asia). In March 2008, Misalucha was voted “Best Singer” in the “27th Annual Best of Las Vegas” by the Las Vegas Review Journal. This puts her in the same sentence as super-diva Celine Dion, the readers pick for “Best Singer.”
