JAL Classic Crane Logo Returns in April

tsurumaru.jpg Japan Airlines be bringing back the classic “Tsurumaru” crane logo this April, in an effort to symbolize its business rehabilitation efforts.

The red crane logo, created in 1959, was gradually phased out and disappeared in 2008. Before that, the logo consisted of the letters JAL stretched out to form wings, but the red crane was introduced when the airline moved from prop planes to jets. The crane logo first appeared on a JAL jet in 1960.
